| Dipping | Deep and wide 25 thousand litre plunge dip ensures cattle are completely submerged with Amitraz (tested at least monthly by DPI laboratory). A mechanical air-stirrer means that no animals have to pass through twice as stirrers. Must be completed during daylight hours for welfare and safety reasons. | $1.70* +GST |
| Scratching / Clearing | Is conducted in accordance with the DPI tick-clearing specifications. Must be completed during daylight hours for tick identification. Charged at $25(+GST) per 15minute increments including completion of Clearance certificate and reporting. | Spelling | The first 24hours are included in the Handling Fee, after that a daily holding fee applies. Stock checks are conducted at least twice daily but we try to allow them as much rest as possible without distraction. For large mobs expecting longer stays we will place them in one of our large feedlot pens at the back to ensure minimal interference and maximum access to feed and water. | $0.50/day +GST |
| Feeding | We feed only large squares of high-quality cereal hay from reputable Tablelands growers. Currently on hand is Oaten hay and bearded-Barley. It is fed in off-ground feeders to minimise wasteage. The as-fed cost is $250 per bale (+GST). If you would like an estimate of how much your livestock will eat please give Brian a call, eg. Yearling steers and lactating cows will eat almost twice as much as most other lines (normal estimate is 1 large bale/ 6 decks/ day). | |
| NLIS Tag Replacements | Based on time required to identify the animal, draft it and catch it in head bail. Includes orange tag. | $35 +GST |
| Carcase disposal | Includes humane destruction and loader lifting from truck (if required) and relocation to environmentally accredited compost site. Available 24/7. | $50 +GST |
| Drafting / Protocoling / Processing | 3-way overhead draft (plus additional 2-lines if through dip), vet crush, processing race – whether its tagging, drafting, treating, de-horning or castrating - we're happy to help. Use of the processing race, overhead draft, vet crush and farm scales (may include assistance of Yard personnel) is charged at $25(+GST) per 15minute increments or as negotiated. Chemical applications, management tags or other consumables will be quoted on request. | |
| Live Export Quarantine | Sugarbag Live Export Depot, licence LAE120, can hold up to 21,500 head of cattle, or 20,800 sheep and goats for export through the sea-ports of Mourilyan, Townsville, Karumba or Townsville or Cairns Airports. Customised feeding can be arranged, otherwise pricing will be based on above fees. | |
| Wild dog baits | From time to time we have available frozen bags of 200-250gram beef chunks suitable for dog baits. Currently priced at $5 per kg (+GST). Brian is also a licensed 1080 poison bait operator - please enquire for further details. | |
